Experienced Transportation And Logistics Executive Joins SPSExpress As Director Of Business Development

Tucson, AZ – March 9, 2009 – SPExpress, an Arizona based shipping and logistics company, announced today that Michael Heilman has joined the organization as Director of Business Development. Mr. Heilman will manage all aspects of SPExpress’ sales and marketing efforts and will report directly to Mich Bayley, President and CEO of SPExpress.

Prior to joining SPExpress, Mr. Heilman held several positions within Airborne Express’ sales organization. After earning his MBA, he was recruited to the corporate office in Seattle to work directly for the president and chairman as Vice President of the Business Analysis Group, an internal consulting and strategy organization. Later Mr. Heilman was asked to take over the Airborne Logistics Services subsidiary as Vice President and General Manager. After Airborne was purchased by DHL, Mr. Heilman was asked to take over the eCommerce organization in Scottsdale, AZ and subsequently held other positions as VP of Commercial IT.
