The Web Analytics Association, an international group of web analytics professionals, has agreed to conduct cross-promotions of industry services and events with Web Analytics Wednesday, a global networking group that holds informational meetings in major cities worldwide.

"The new partnership will benefit the entire web analytics community by reinforcing a natural bond and allowing all of us a more effective way to network, share ideas and spread the word about our profession," says June Dershewitz, vice president of analytics at Semphonic, a web analytics consulting firm. Dershewitz co-founded Web Analytics Wednesday in 2005 with Eric T. Peterson, founder of consulting firm Web Analytics Demystified.

The Web Analytics Association, founded by industry professionals in 2004, has more than 1,700 members in 40 countries.
