Venda Inc., a provider of on-demand e-commerce platforms, has closed a $6 million round of equity financing. The round, which the company reports was over-subscribed, was led by Investor Growth Capital and GF Private Equity Group.

Venda says the financing will enable the company to maintain its rapid growth through investment in technical staff, customer support, infrastructure and marketing. It delivers its technology to online retailers using the software-as-a-service model.

“I’m delighted that investors are showing confidence in Venda’s growth potential despite the challenging environment for investment generally,” says Eric Abensur, Venda’s CEO. “By offering a continually growing portfolio of sophisticated on-demand capabilities, Venda helps clients stay ahead of the curve with a ‘best of the web,’ one-stop solution for their e-commerce and multi-channel demand generation needs."

Venda’s clients include DeBeers, Crabtree & Evelyn, Sharp, Panasonic, Laura Ashley, Condé Nast and Urban Outfitters.
