Demandware Inc., a provider of an on-demand e-commerce technology platform, has appointed technology and finance veteran Scott Dussault as the company’s first chief financial officer.
Dussault will be responsible for all financial and administrative operations, Demandware says. “As we continue to experience high demand, we knew it was the right time to bring on a financial expert to ensure our continued success,” says founder and chairman Stephan Schambach.
Before Demandware, Dussault served as chief financial officer at Archivas Inc., which Hitachi Data Systems acquired in 2007. Earlier, Dussault was chief financial officer of Astra Tech Inc., a subsidiary of Astra Zenera and a distributor of medical devices. He also served as chief financial officer of StorageNetworks, a data storage software and services company.
Dussault, who is a certified public accountant, is also a former manager in the Entrepreneurial Services and Audit Services practice at accounting firm Ernst & Young LLP.
