Wolverine hires a new direct marketing executive

As president of retail, Christopher Hufnagel will be responsible for all of Wolverine Worldwide’s direct-to-consumer operations, including e-commerce. Previously Hufnagel was vice president of retail for Under Armour Inc.

Wolverine Worldwide Inc., a manufacturer and marketer of brands such as Bates, Hush Puppies, HYTEST, Merrell, Sebago and Wolverine, has hired a new senior retail and direct marketing executive.

As part of his new duties as president of retail, Christopher Hufnagel will be responsible for all direct-to-consumer operations, including e-commerce.

Prior to joining Wolverine, Hufnagel worked as vice president of retail for Under Armour Inc., No. 188 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, where he was responsible for the development, execution, and roll out of the company’s retail strategy. Hufnagle also worked as vice president of brand store experience for Gap Inc. and with Abercrombie & Fitch Co. in various management positions involving in-store brand presentation, marketing and store operations.

Wolverine, which operates online stores for Hush Puppies and several other brands, is also the exclusive footwear licensee of other brands including Cat, Harley-Davidson and Patagonia.
