Organic Bouquet Inc., a web-only retailer of organic flowers and gourmet food recently named Claudio Miranda, vice president of e-commerce, as president. He succeeds founder and CEO Gerald Prolman as the company’s top executive.

Organic Bouquet operates its namesake floral, gifts and gourmet food site at OrganicBouquet.com, and also operates OrganicStyle.com as a retailer of a broader range of organic and so-called “fair-trade” products, including apparel, home furnishings, baby and pet products. It also operates EcoFlowers.com as a wholesaler of organic flowers. Organic products are produced without the use of synthetic materials like chemical pesticides. Fair-trade products are sold through an arrangement designed to provide fair compensation to producers, often independent artisans.

Miranda says Organic Bouquet will continue developing its product lines and building exposure through blogs and social networks including Gaia, MySpace and Facebook.

Prolman will serve as a consultant and advisor to the board and management of Organic Bouquet, the company says.
