-ProPay continues to offer payment solutions for the direct selling community and expands its offering to include advanced eBay sellers-
Orem, Utah -October 7, 2008- ProPay, a comprehensive provider of simple, safe and affordable merchant payment solutions, today announced the company will expand its services to the eBay community while continuing to serve the direct selling industry. The eBay offering is expected to provide new selling opportunities for ProPay account holders.
"ProPay is committed to leading the industry with the comprehensive and advanced merchant services that enhance our clients` businesses," said Greg Pesci, ProPay Executive Vice President of Business Strategy. "Thanks to eBay`s invitation to integrate our payment solutions with their auction site, it is an ideal time to expand our services to online merchants to provide them with simple, safe, and affordable payment processing solutions for both on and off-line purchases."
eBay sellers will require new ProPay eAuction merchant accounts to use ProPay’s merchant services integrated with eBay checkout. Sellers can apply for eAuction accounts online at ProPay in late October, and ProPay will conduct a thorough screening process before accepting applications. The company plans to provide details about the eAuction offering within the next several days.
"We have been extremely pleased with the efforts eBay is making to share data with us so we can help improve the buyer/seller experience," Pesci continued. "eBay has also agreed to filter out any transactions dealing with mature/adult products. Not supporting these types of purchases is a long standing practice at ProPay and was a make or break decision for us with regard to integrating with eBay."
The new online processing features are a strategic expansion to ProPay‘s extensive payment offerings, which also include processing via a virtual terminal, direct API, any touch tone phone, email invoices, and the recently released secure ProPay Card Reader.
Since 1997, ProPay has led the market in providing simple, safe and affordable credit card processing and electronic payment services for businesses ranging from the small, home-based entrepreneur to multi-billion-dollar enterprises.
ProPay understands the unique needs of these businesses and has created merchant services specifically for them. With ProPay, merchants can set up an account online and begin accepting credit cards without buying special equipment and making long-term commitments or investments. ProPay leads out in educating merchants of every size about how to reduce or eliminate the risk of touching or holding sensitive cardholder data. The company also leads the payments market in the development of secure end-to-end solutions for protecting sensitive data and alternative payment options that significantly reduce business costs.
