Footwear-focused web video channel and social network Shoetube.tv has redesigned its web site. The site, targeted toward women, now allows consumers to shop for Nine West shoes though a boutique section. Shoetube says Nine West is the first boutique of several that it will add to its web site.
Shoppers visiting the site can access the Nine West boutique where they can sift through videos and photos, participate in polls and link through to the Nine West e-commerce site to buy footwear and accessories.
Other new features include The Daily Shoe, which offers weekly footwear themes and blogs. The site also features sponsored videos showcasing new trends and styles.
“Our expanded sponsored video is specifically targeted at shoe designers and retailers who want to get the word out,” says Michelle Weber, producer for Shoetube.tv. “Because we are primarily using video to tell the story, we are able to overcome many of the limitations of copy- only editorial sites.”
Shoetube.tv allows footwear fiends to participate in forums, upload videos and rate shoes. It’s run by television and new media company Powderhouse Productions Inc.
