Sears taps an Ann Taylor web executive to lead its jewelry business

Sears has hired Michelle Pearlman as a senior vice president and president of its jewelry business unit. Pearlman was previously executive vice president of ATC Direct, the Internet arm of Ann Taylor Stores Corp.

Sears Holdings Corp. has tapped an e-commerce veteran from Ann Taylor as its new head of jewelry.

Sears, No. 8 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, has hired Michelle Pearlman as a senior vice president and president of its jewelry business unit. Pearlman was previously executive vice president of ATC Direct, the Internet arm of Ann Taylor Stores Corp., which operates AnnTaylor.com and AnnTaylorLoft.com. At Ann Taylor, No. 107 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, Pearlman was responsible for e-commerce merchandising, marketing, technology and operations.

Prior to working at Ann Taylor, Pearlman was employed for five years at McKinsey & Co., most recently as an associate principal where she worked with retail clients to help them execute turnaround and growth strategies. She also spent seven years with Procter & Gamble, where she held brand management and customer business development roles.

At Sears, Pearlman will lead the jewelry business operations for the Kmart and Sears brands.
