RackAid, a provider of managed web site performance and security services, has partnered with security technology vendor ControlScan to help small online merchants meet the payment card industry data security standard, also known as PCI-DSS.

Merchants working with rackAID have access to ControlScan’s full-service PCI-DSS application, which includes a self-assessment tool, on-demand security scanning and access to ControScan’s merchant portal. ControlScan also provides merchants with security certification seals, which have been shown to increase consumer confidence in making online payments and in lowering shopping cart abandonment rates, the companies say.

“ControlScan’s easy-to-use PCI compliance solutions offer the best value and service available,” says Jeff Huckaby, chief executive officer, rackAid. “This is a perfect add-on to our server management subscriptions.”
