Online retailer and cataloger Oriental Trading Co., Inc. has tapped J.C. Penney as it adds to its executive ranks to support its growth plans. David Abbott, who was with J.C. Penney Direct as vice president of marketing, has joined the company as senior vice president of marketing.
In his new role at Oriental Trading, No. 49 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, Abbott will oversee catalog marketing, media planning and creative services.
“Dave brings more than 20 years of direct marketing experience to Oriental Trading Company,” says Sam Taylor, chief executive officer. “He will help us leverage our strong brand and incredible customer loyalty as we transform Oriental Trading into a truly multi-channel, customer- centric organization and rapidly grow our business.”
At J.C. Penney Direct, Abbott was responsible for all marketing and creative services to the catalog and JCP.com, No. 15 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide .
