Blyth’s Boca Java acquires rival coffee retailer

Blyth Inc.’s Boca Java unit, which sells coffee online at BocaJava.com, has acquired The Thompson Group’s Café Belmondo brand.

Blyth Inc.’s Boca Java unit, which sells coffee online at BocaJava.com, has acquired The Thompson Group’s Café Belmondo brand.

“This will allow Thompson and Company to focus on its larger business units, including Thompson Cigar, LinenSource and Casual Living,” says Steve Cobden, chief marketing officer, Thompson and Company.

The purchase price was not revealed.

Blyth’s online stores under the Miles Kimball brand rank No. 195 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide. Besides Miles Kimball, brands include Exposures, Walter Drake, The Home Marketplace, Easy Comforts and Boca Java.

Thompson and Company is No. 171 in the Top 500 Guide.
