CafePress frames a new acquisition

CafePress.com, an online retailer of customer-generated products, such as T-shirts and coffee mugs, has acquired Imagekind.com. Founded in 2006, Imagekind.com offers more than one million art images by more than 50,000 established and emerging artists.

CafePress.com, an online retailer of customer-generated products, such as T-shirts and coffee mugs, has acquired Imagekind.com.

Terms of the deal for the acquisition of Imagekind, a user-generated site offering framed art, weren’t disclosed. "Acquiring Imagekind allows us to provide a richer fine art solution to the community of artists, designers and entrepreneurs who are already among our 6.5 million shopkeepers,” says CafePress CEO Fred Durham.

Founded in 2006, Imagekind.com offers more than one million art images by more than 50,000 established and emerging artists from all over the world. "CafePress brings the expertise, resources, and community to help get our artists and their galleries to the world faster,” says Imagekind.com CEO Kevin Saliba.

CafePress, which launched in 1999 and is No. 118 in the Top 500 Guide, lets consumers design products, either for sale or for their own use, and provides an online marketplace serving both product designers who want to sell and shoppers on the lookout for unique items.
