Transaction performance remains steady in March

The benchmarked average for response time for all e-retail transactions on the largest retail sites in March was 2.49 seconds, according to Gomez Inc. The web’s top retailers also had an availability rating of 99.83%.

The benchmarked average for response time for all e-retail transactions on the largest retail sites in March was 2.49 seconds, according to Gomez Inc.

Based on results for a multi-page checkout transaction, seven retailers – BarnesandNoble.com, CircuitCity.com, Costco.com, FTD.com, JCP.com, LLBean.com, Macys.com, HomeDepot.com and Williams-Sonoma.com – were the top merchants with an availability average of 100%. The performance index includes a rating for response time and availability and consistency ratings.

Gomez reports that the web’s top retailers had an availability rating of 99.83% in March.
