PressureWashersDirect.com re-launched its 5-year-old web e-commerce site this week with new features including side-by-side comparison shopping of up to four products simultaneously and the ability for customers to load personal stories and photos, says Jon Hoch, founder of parent company Power Equipment Direct.
“We went beyond basic spring cleaning,” Hoch says. “The site went through a complete makeover and we’ve already noticed a significant lift in orders.”
The redesigned site was built mostly with in-house technology with some graphical design assistance from e-commerce technology vendor AmericanEagle.com Inc., Hoch says.
The new site also adds a quick-search feature that lets shoppers narrow selections among 100 models of pressure washers with a few mouse clicks. A new priority shipment service, which has a $50 fee, guarantees that in-stock products ordered by 2 p.m. Eastern Standard Time will ship the same day Monday to Friday, with delivery estimated at two to five business days.
The redesigned site continues to offer pre-existing features including online buyer’s guides and product recommendations. Bolingbrook, IL-based Power Equipment Direct also operates PowerEquipmentDirect.com, AirCompressorsDirect.com, ElectricGenerators.com and SnowBlowersDirect.com.
