Regional Independent Grocer to Manage Stores with Internet-based Applications

PLANO, Texas – March 5, 2008 – C & K Market, Inc. has selected StoreNext Retail Technologies’ Connected Services suite of Web-based applications to manage the Brookings, Ore. regional chain. StoreNext, a subsidiary of Retalix USA (Nasdaq: RTLX), currently provides C & K with point-of-sale (POS) and other retail systems.

Connected Services provides independent grocers and regional chains an expanding suite of robust, enterprise-class software applications over the Internet at a fraction of the cost of in-house hosting and support. The applications are offered via subscription, offering the flexibility to select the optimal mix of modules to start, with easy expansion as desired. Connected Services supports ISS45 and ScanMaster POS systems.

C&K; currently owns and operates 49 Ray’s Food Place stores in northern California and Oregon. The company also has five Shop Smart stores, five Price Less Food locations and 12 Pharmacy Express locations.

“Due to our large geographic spread, our operations team is typically on the move in the field, so we needed a convenient sales reporting tool for them,” said Alan Nidiffer, vice president and CIO of C&K; Market. “Our managers can easily log in to Connected Services wherever there’s an Internet connection to review historical sales information for any store, compare store sales and even track item movement. This will dramatically help us identify and quickly capitalize on market trends.”

“The connected ‘software-as-a-service’ model eliminates most of the up-front costs for hardware, software and resources that are required when purchasing applications,” said Ray Carlin, president and CEO of StoreNext. “Independents gain the same technology advantages enjoyed by larger chains, but with a much-reduced cost burden.”

C & K Market’s StoreNext ISS45 POS provides a transaction processing architecture designed for the extreme performance requirements of the supermarket business, in addition to many important time-saving and shopper-service features.

“We expect the combination of ISS45 and Connected Services to significantly enhance the efficiencies of our operations,” said Nidiffer.
