November 19, 2007--First Data and CyberSource have reached an agreement that will expand the availability of First Data’s Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) services to acquirers and e-commerce merchants using CyberSource e-payment management services.
The DCC service provides greater convenience and choice for international consumers by allowing customers to make Visa and MasterCard credit card purchases in their own currency at the point of sale, rather than in U.S. dollars for later conversion, at an unknown exchange rate, by their card issuer. Under this agreement, First Data affiliated merchants using CyberSource services can choose DCC as a value-added feature.
