Musicnotes.com, a retailer of sheet music and guitar tablature, has served more than 1 million customers, one of whom recently purchased the retailer’s 3-millionth download of sheet music, Musicnotes says.

Musicnotes, No. 499 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, sold more than 100,000 downloads in October and says it expects to hit that mark again in November and December.

"Musicnotes.com continues to focus on the customer experience in helping site visitors find and learn to play the world`s great songs," CEO Kathleen Marsh says. "We believe this approach serves everyone well, including our publishing and songwriting partners to whom we will have paid over $6 million in royalties through 2007."

The 3-millionth download, sold to a church pianist, was sheet music available exclusively on Musicnotes.com for the song “Thankful” from a new “Noel” holiday CD from musician Josh Groban. Written by David Foster, Carole Bayer Sager and Richard Page, the song is published by peermusic.com Inc.
