Jonathan Yarmis joins AMR Research as vice president

AMR Research has appointed Jonathan Yarmis vice president. Yarmis will cover advanced and emerging technologies including social networks and mobility.

AMR Research Inc. has appointed Jonathan Yarmis vice president. Yarmis will cover advanced and emerging technologies including social networks and mobility.

Prior to joining AMR Research, he served as senior vice president of analyst relations at Hill & Knowlton, where he was responsible for providing strategic positioning and messaging support to clients such as Business Objects, Deloitte Consulting, Hewlett-Packard, Motorola, Qualcomm, Symantec, VeriSign and Yahoo.

Before Hill & Knowlton, Yarmis was a vice president of enterprise strategies at Waggener Edstrom Strategic Communications, where he provided senior analyst relations counsel to clients including MasterCard, Microsoft and Vignette. He also has held senior level positions at media and research companies including Gartner Inc., where he spent 10 years as an industry analyst.

“With an extensive background helping technology providers and users assess technology’s impact on the world, he brings additional depth and thought leadership to a team of senior industry analysts,” says Chris Goodhue, vice president and general manager of market services at AMR Research.
