Dealer.com appoints Dean Evans as chief marketing officer

Dealer.com, a provider of e-commerce technology to car dealers, has named Dean Evans as chief marketing officer. Evans is a former marketing executive at competitor Cobalt Group.

Dealer.com, a provider of e-commerce technology to car dealers, has named Dean Evans, a former executive of rival Cobalt Group, as chief marketing officer. He reports to Dealer.com founder, president and CEO Mark Bonfigli.

Evans, who handled marketing and business partnerships at Cobalt Group, joins Dealer.com with 18 years of experience in the automotive industry.

Evans has served in executive and consulting positions for such organizations as Ford Motor Co.’s Premium Automotive Group, Chrysler Corp., Land Rover, Jaguar, AutoNation and Jumpstart Automotive.

In addition, he has served on the advisory boards of several companies including Target Diversity Marketing, Auto Dealer Traffic and iAutos, an online portal serving the Chinese auto market.

Evans is also one of the founders and a former board member of the Automotive Association of Internet Sales Professionals.
