The redesigned site-PeerlessMounts.com-features a new “Product Center” and “Customer Center” that enable visitors to find information such as mounting patterns, technical data and installer’s training. The new site, designed and built by a team of in-house and outside developers, also allows visitors to search Peerless’s 3,600-product catalog for mounts that will fit a projector or specific screen-for example, a flat-screen TV, by entering a model number into the site’s new search tool, MountFinder, a spokeswoman says.
“Peerless MountFinder enables site visitors to easily locate a mount that is compatible with their flat-panel TV, whether they are looking for a wall mount, ceiling mount, floor stand, you name it,” she says. “They can specify what they want in the MountFinder options menu, click search and they will see everything available for their flat-panel TV. The MountFinder virtually eliminates the need for them to spend extra research time and/or calling the manufacturer to ensure the mount they are getting fits their TV.”
Without the MountFinder, users would have had to call customer care or download a large spreadsheet and cross-reference the TV with the mount they need, she says.
“Overall, it took much longer for the customer to locate the mount they are looking for,” the spokeswoman says. “It was not an easy process and did lead to abandonment of the site or an influx of customer care phone calls.”
The site also has contact portals for market specific projects, provides resources for beginner to expert installers and end users, and debuts Peerless’s newsletter Peerless PeerSpecTives.
