Teen apparel retailer dELiA*s names a senior director of e-commerce

The multi-channel merchant has hired Lee Bissonnette, formerly with Bloomingdales, as its new chief e-commerce and online marketing strategist. It also named Chris DiChiaro divisional merchandise manager of Alloy in charge of merchandising for Alloy.com.

Teen apparel retailer dELiA*s Inc. has a new chief e-commerce and online marketing strategist.

The retailer, No. 90 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide, has appointed Lee Bissonnette as senior director of e-commerce.

Bissonnette, who will report to dELiA*s chief operating officer Walter Killough, will be responsible for the e-commerce strategy and marketing for the Alloy, CCS and dELiA*s brands. Prior to joining dELiA*s, Bissonnette was operating vice-president of e-commerce and Internet strategy at Bloomingdale`s. He also has been director of digital products at Wicks, a fashion eyewear company, and as director of operations at Macy`s from 2000 through 2004.

In another personnel move, dELiA*s hired Chris DiChiaro as divisional merchandise manager of Alloy. He will be in charge of merchandising for Alloy.com. Prior to joining dELiA*s, DiChiaro was with Victoria`s Secret Direct for seven years, most recently as vice president - merchandising of intimate apparel.
