Communicate.com hires Jonathan Ehrlich as president away from Indigo Books

Vancouver-based Communicate.com Inc. has hired Jonathan Ehrlich as president and chief operating officer. He joins Communicate.com from Indigo Books & Music Inc., where he was executive vice president, online. Indigo is Canada`s largest book retailer.

Vancouver-based Communicate.com Inc. has hired Jonathan Ehrlich as president and chief operating officer. He joins Communicate.com from Indigo Books & Music Inc., where he was executive vice president, online. Indigo is Canada`s largest book retailer.

Prior to joining Indigo, Ehrlich was an entrepreneur-in-residence at Mosaic Venture Partners and before that was co-founder and vice president of marketing for MobShop Inc, an online group buying venture.

Ehrlich will report to Communicate.com chairman and CEO Geoffrey Hampson. Communicate.com’s Perfume.com is No. 469 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide. Communicate.com also operates other specialized retail web sites.

“Building a strong leadership team at Communicate.com has been my priority and Jonathan is a strong experienced entrepreneur with domain knowledge and expertise who will help to build Communicate.com into an industry leader,” Hampson says. “Jonathan is the first of several new hires that will expand the senior leadership team positioning the company to be able to significantly quicken the pace of development and monetization of our premium web properties, creating the foundation for long-term growth and profitability.”
