As they plan to merge, Camping World and FreedomRoads appoint new execs

As they prepare to consolidate operations, direct marketer and retailer Camping World and RV dealer network FreedomRoads name Ken Marshall head of e-commerce.

As they plan to consolidate, Camping World and FreedomRoads, direct marketers and retailers of RVs and outdoor campaign products and services, have announced new executive appointments in the e-commerce, information technology and marketing arenas of their operations.

Promotions for the consolidated Camping World and FreedomRoads include Ken Marshall, who has been named president of e-commerce. Marshall will oversee management and direction of e-commerce businesses including CampingWorld.com, RVs.com, FreedomRoads.com-Camping World’s dealer network-and the respective dealer web sites. Matt Baden has been named executive vice president and chief information officer. Baden’s responsibilities will include leadership and management for all information technology services and operations. He’ll also oversee design, implementation, integration and ongoing support for all information systems.

Camping World is No. 291 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.

Tamara Ward has been appointed chief marketing officer. In her new role, she’ll lead external brand management development, database marketing and management and retail store marketing.

For FreedomRoads specifically, Randall Rahe has been named senior vice president of business development and training. He will be responsible for direction and management of the customer sales process, follow-up on customer experience and the development of the customer database. He’ll also oversee lead development acquisition and development of all training processes.

Camping World Inc. offers 8,000 RV and outdoor camping accessory products and services through its SuperCenters, catalog call center and web site. FreedomRoads is a national network of established local and regional RV dealerships.
