The top 10 comparison shopping sites

Shopping.com, Shopzilla.com and Yahoo Shopping lead the way among comparison shopping web sites, as ranked by unique visitors, according to comScore Media Metrix. The sites of Mezi Media experienced the greatest growth among the top 10—453%.

Shopping.com and Shopzilla.com are head of the class among the top 10 comparison shopping web sites as ranked by unique visitors in January, according to research by comScore Media Metrix. The sites of Mezi Media experienced the greatest growth among the top 10-an astonishing 453%.

The sites of Shopping.com were visited by 21,778,000 Internet users in January, a 6% increase over January 2006’s 20,598,000. The sites of Shopzilla.com were visited by 19,801,000 Internet users in January, a 4% drop from January 2006’s 20,552,000.

Following are the top 10 comparison shopping sites with January 2007 unique visitors, January 2006 unique visitors and percent change:

  • 1) Shopping.com sites-21,778,000; 20,598,000; 6%.
  • 2) Shopzilla.com sites-19,801,000; 20,552,000; -4%.
  • 3) Yahoo Shopping-14,786,000; 14,670,000; 1%.
  • 4) Nextag.com sites-8,539,000; 10,157,000; -16%.
  • 5) MSN Shopping-8,318,000; 7,825,000; 6%.
  • 6) Mezi Media sites-7,630,000; 1,379,000; 453%.
  • 7) Froogle-5,028,000; 5,883,000; -15%.
  • 8) Shop.com sites-4,524,000; 5,365,000; -16%.
  • 9) AOL Shopping-4,488,000; 3,311,000; 36%.
  • 10) PriceGrabber-4,419,000; 6,044,000; -27%.
