High broadband performance improves for big retailers in February

Web shoppers in February could access a top 50 retail site with a high broadband connection an average of 98.13% of the time, compared with an average of 98% for a low broadband connection and 84.16% for dial-up, says Gomez Inc.

Overall, web shoppers in February could access a top 50 retail site with a high broadband connection an average of 98.13% of the time, compared with an average of 98% for a low broadband connection and 84.16% for dial-up, says Gomez Inc.

The retailers delivering the best site success rate in February included BarnesandNoble.com at 99.76% and NeimanMarcus.com and Scholastic.com with averages of 99.61% and 99.58%, respectively.

The most consistent dial-up retailer in February was OfficeMax, which posted an average availability rating of 96.95%.
