The National Football League reports online sales from its NFLShop.com web site of $70 million for 2006, up 52% from 2005 web sales of $46 million, according to preliminary results from the 2007 Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites.
Total NFL merchandise sales for 2006 were $84 million, up 44% from 2005 sales of $58 million. NFLShop.com, No. 130 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, sells professional and college football team and league merchandise online, through a call center and via catalog.
NFLShop.com reports a conversion rate of 4.4% for 2006, compared to 3.21% for the previous year.
