Harvey F. Seegers, president of Home Depot Direct since 2005, resigned Monday to pursue other interests. His resignation came less than a week after the exit of The Home Depot Inc. chairman and CEO Bob Nardelli.

No successor has been named, but Steve Skinner will lead Home Depot Direct on an interim basis, a spokesman says. Home Depot is going to integrate its Internet and catalog business with merchandising, headed by Craig Menear, senior vice president of merchandising.

The Home Depot is No. 41 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites. Tari Huddleston, senior manager of e-business at Home Depot, will speak at the Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition, June 4-7 in San Jose in a session entitled “Making Rich Media a Rich Source of Sales.”
