ServiceMagic fastest-growing among home-and-garden sites, study says

ServiceMagic showed the sharpest year-over-year growth in November, at 125%, among the top 10 home-and-garden retail sites, Nielsen/NetRatings reports. Home Shopping Network had the second-fastest growth at 25%.

ServiceMagic showed the sharpest year-over-year growth in November, rising 125% to 2.7 million, among the top 10 home-and-garden retail sites, Nielsen/NetRatings reports. Home Shopping Network had the second-fastest growth at 25%.

EBay Home led in the number of visits, with 13.4 million, up 4% from 12.9 million, followed by The Home Depot, 11.7 million, up 15% from 10.2 million; Lowe’s, 7.8 million, up 22% from 6.4 million; Home Shopping Network, 5 million, up 25% from 4 million; HGTV-Home & Garden Television, 4.5 million, down 2% from 4.6 million; eBay Crafts, 4.5 million, down 6% from 4.8 million; DIY Network, 2.8 million, up 12% from 2.5 million; Linens ‘n Things, 2.8 million, up 12% from 2.5 million; ServiceMagic, 2.7 million, up 125% from 1.2 million; and JoAnn.com, 2.3 million, unchanged from November 2005.

In the top 10 home and garden sites ranked by time per visit, Lenox Saw led with 25 minutes, 12 seconds; followed by Ltd.Commodities.com, 23 minutes, 20 seconds; Collections Etc., 22 minutes, 13 seconds; Brylane Home, 21 minutes, 43 seconds; Lakeside.com, 15 minutes, 45 seconds; Home Shopping Network, 15 minutes, 42 seconds; Replacements.com, 14 minutes, 13 seconds; The Company Store, 12 minutes, 39 seconds; Frontgate.com, 12 minutes, 18 seconds; and LionBrand.com, 11 minutes, 36 seconds.

Also in November, Sears Holdings Corp./Sears had the most online ad impressions in the home-and-garden segment of the consumer goods industry, according to Nielsen’s AdRelevance Report. The leading brands and their ad impressions (in millions) were:
