VistaPrint gets personal with stickies, adds printing process patent

VistaPrint has added personalized sticky notes and new color envelope printing services, and announced a new patent for grouping small-batch print jobs.

Online printer and related services vendor VistaPrint Ltd. has added personalized sticky notes and new color envelope printing services to its product line. The company also recently received its fifteenth patent, which addresses automated methods of grouping similar print jobs and enables efficient coordination of small jobs from around the world.

The new sticky notes are aimed at VistaPrint’s small business and consumer customers and can be printed with the names of companies or individuals. Company executives say the product is in response to customer requests.

Individual pads with 50 sheets start at $4.99. Customers can choose from more than 200 designs or customize their own. Design-to-delivery can take as little as three days.

VistaPrint, which is No. 96 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, also rolled out a new line of full-color, customizable envelopes that can be printed on both sides. Color print messages can be added to both sides for small businesses, while consumers can purchase the envelopes for party invitations or holiday cards, among other uses.

VistaPrint’s new products are available on its 17 international web sites, which are localized for individual languages and currencies. Countries include Belgium, France, Japan and Switzerland along with English-speaking countries.
