"Upgrading all orders to free expedited shipping is another way we can help consumers get exactly what they want this holiday, but without the stress of wondering if it will arrive on time," says Mark Vadon, CEO of Blue Nile, No. 52 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide.

A BizRate survey last week reported that 39% of retailers are promising delivery by Christmas via standard shipping for orders placed on Dec. 18 or 19 and only 6% for orders placed Dec. 20 or later.
