Q3 Internet sales at dELiA’s climb 11.2%

Q3 Internet sales at dELiA’s Inc., rose 11.2% to $29.78 million from $26.77 in the same quarter last year. For the first nine months of the year, Internet sales reached $80.57 million compared with $66.35 million in the same period of 2005.

Internet sales at dELiA’s Inc., for the three months ended Oct. 28, 2006, rose 11.2% to $29.78 million from $26.77 in the same quarter last year. For the nine months of the current fiscal year, Internet sales reached $80.57 million compared with $66.35 million in the same period of 2005.

The company breaks sales into retail and direct segments, with retail encompassing 71 stand-alone stores and two outlets. The direct segment includes catalog and Internet sales.

Net sales for the direct segment climbed to $41.7 million, up 4.6% from $39.9 in the third quarter of fiscal 2005. Retail market comparable store sales, in non-outlet stores, rose 5%.

Overall third quarter revenue reached $67.5 million, up 12% from the prior year. As a multi-channel retailer of apparel, accessories and footwear aimed at 12- to 19-year-olds, dELiA’s Inc., is No. 89 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites.
