Shop.com has cut the ribbon on four new stores in its online shopping mall. Eastern Mountain Sports, Sierra Trading Post, PC Mall and MacMall now will sell products through Shop.com, where shoppers can use the mall’s shopping cart to purchase merchandise from multiple e-retailers via the single cart.

The new stores will add more product offerings in Shop.com’s top-selling categories: clothing and accessories, computers, electronics, and software, the company says. During the third quarter of 2006 alone, Shop.com signed 45 e-retailers ranked in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, Shop.com reports.

Internet Retailer’s Top 500 represents the highest-volume online merchants. Just in time for the holiday shopping season, these merchants are augmenting their already robust business by joining our marketplace,” says Drew Green, vice president of merchant operations at Shop.com.

Shop.com, according to company figures, currently lists millions of products from more than a thousand merchants.
