Multi-channel Retailer Balances Demand and Supply with Replenishment Solution

An early pioneer in multi-channel merchandising, Cabela’s understands that the key to maximizing their Supply Chain efficiency begins with accurate purchasing forecasts and precise inventory placements in order to meet projected customer demand.
Planning, forecasting, and purchasing the correct inventory levels in order to keep the DC’s and stores well stocked with the appropriate inventory is a monumental task assigned to employees of Cabela’s Inventory Planning & Purchasing department. “We know that maximizing our supply chain translates into greater savings and unparalleled customer service for our customers,” explains Angelo P. Cabela’s is implementing the Replenishment solution in two stages. The first has been completed and focused entirely on the distribution center-to-store channel. Building on the success of this first stage, they will begin integrating the Replenishment solution into both their catalog and internet channels by streamlining vendor-to-DC and vendor–to-store replenishment processes. Using Manhattan Associates’ Replenishment solution enables Cabela’s to optimize service levels and increase inventory turns while reducing overall inventory.
