Online bookseller Alibris Inc. has tapped former executives from Yahoo, IAC/Interactive Corp. and Signature Networks to fill three spots on its senior management team. The executive additions will help Alibris, No. 108 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, expand into the international used book market and grow internally, the company says.

Jeanie Bunker, formerly the vice president of global direct marketing at Yahoo, has been named vice president, sales and marketing, and has been charged with orchestrating the company’s international expansion. With 14 years of experience in business segment marketing, she also has held previous positions as vice president at both E-Trade Financial and Bank of America.

Manjari C. Bhatia, the new director of corporate development, previously was with IAC/Interactive Corp., where she was responsible for strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and business development. In her new role she is charged with furthering Alibris’ growth through anticipated mergers and acquisitions. Previously she worked for Credite Suisse First Boston, where she focused on leveraged finance.

Richard Hewitt, named corporate controller, will manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations at the company, which are expected to grow as the company expands. With 13 years of experience in legal and financial operations, he is a U.K. Chartered Accountant. Prior to joining Alibris, he was director of finance at Signatures Network, an international music merchandiser.
