Patagonia To Use PTC PLM Solutions To Optimize Design And Manufacturing Of Its Activewear Lines

NEEDHAM, MA. – September 18, 2006 - PTC (Nasdaq: PMTC), the Product Development Company™, today announced that its customer, Patagonia, has expanded its use of FlexPLM™, PTC’s Retail, Footwear and Apparel solution, to optimize the design and manufacturing of its apparel lines. Patagonia, a leading producer and marketer of clothing for outdoor sports, hopes to use the PTC solution to improve operational efficiency by providing a single version of product information that is visible across its product development teams and supply partners.

Patagonia is using PTC to help manage their multi-product line involves both global suppliers and distribution channels. This early visibility enables companies to quickly communicate modifications to the entire team in order to minimize market delays or increased product costs.
