NEW YORK (September 7, 2006) ESPN.com, the Web’s leading online sports destination with an average of more than 17 million fans each month, and Quigo, a leading provider of targeted, pay-for-performance advertising, announced an agreement today that will launch a new approach for ESPN.com sponsored link advertising. The agreement, which will go into effect this fall, will lead to deployment of an ESPN-branded version of Quigo`s AdSonar platform, providing new opportunities for marketers to reach sports fans with contextually relevant sponsored link advertising.
ESPN.com will exclusively utilize the AdSonar platform to offer its own auction-based, pay-per-click advertising program featuring content-targeted sponsored links. The program will allow ESPN to enhance its sponsored link marketing efforts and help drive new advertising business and growth. Sponsored link advertisements will be available on ESPN.com with multiple targeting options -- including specific pages as well as topics or keywords – delivering performance marketing benefits to digital media advertisers.
