Netflix hires Stephanie Sanford as director of customer service

Sanford, who joins Netflix from ACS Inc., a wireless telecommunications provider, will be in charge of all customer service operations and help oversee the relocation of Netflix’s customer service department from California to Hillsboro, OR.

Netflix Inc. has hired Stephanie Sanford as the company’s new director of customer service.

Sanford joins Netflix from ACS Inc., a wireless telecommunications provider, where she was director of operations. Prior to ACS, Sanford worked at Microsoft as manager of global call center operations. Earlier she held customer support management positions at Ygnition Networks, ADP Inc., AAA and the University of Utah Hospital.

Sanford will be in charge of all customer service operations and will help oversee the relocation of Netflix’s customer service department from California to a new facility in Hillsboro, OR.

Netflix, No. 21 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, will complete the move of its customer service department to Hillsboro, a Portland suburb, by early next year.
