Revenue at e-commerce technology provider Art Technology Group Inc. rose 25% to $25.2 million for the second quarter ended June 30, up from $20.3 million a year ago, ATG said today.

Net income for the quarter reached $2.3 million, compared to a year-ago net loss of $300,000, ATG said.

CEO Bob Burke attributed the increased revenue and income to strong customer demand for new e-commerce technology and to upgrades to ATG’s offerings.

Among recent improvements to its products are a “searchandizing” feature that integrates online product search and merchandising, a new ATG Customer Intelligence web site analytics platform and an upgraded e-mail response management product. Also in Q2, the e-mail product became available in ATG’s OnDemand suite.
