Musicnotes.com signs a content deal with Sony

Musicnotes.com has signed a deal with giant Sony to sell sheet music from the Sony/ATV Music Publishing catalog. Sony/ATV Music Publishing is a worldwide music publishing joint venture between Sony and pop star Michael Jackson.

Tiny Musicnotes.com, No. 487 in the Internet Retailer Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, has signed a deal with giant Sony to sell sheet music from the Sony/ATV Music Publishing catalog. Sony/ATV Music Publishing is a worldwide music publishing joint venture between Sony and pop star Michael Jackson.

The Sony deal rounds out Musicnotes’ offerings from major music publishers, including Alfred Music Publishing (encompassing the Warner/Chappell catalog), BMG, Zomba, EMI Christian, Word Music, and dozens of others.

"We are delighted to work directly with Musicnotes.com, whose expertise and large, loyal customer base makes them the clear leader in the digital sheet music marketplace."

Sony’s sheet music includes songs written by The Beatles, Beck, Sarah McLachlan, Richie Sambora, Gretchen Wilson, Stevie Nicks, Oasis, KT Tunstall and Fall Out Boy.

Musicnotes will also be offering guitarists a wide selection of interactive lessons for Sony/ATV`s songs in Musicnotes`s popular Guitar Guru Sessions format.
