Power of “Device Reputation” Solutions Enhanced With Quova’s IP Intelligence

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIF. – June 20, 2006 – Quova, Inc., the authority on IP Intelligence and leading provider of Internet geolocation data and services, and iovation, the device reputation authority for online authentication and fraud management, today announced a partnership to deliver enhanced anti-fraud solutions for iovation’s e-commerce customers.

Quova’s patented GeoPoint™ service is being integrated alongside iovation’s Device Reputation Authority™, which makes online transactions more transparent by providing information on the past activity of the computer being used for the transaction. Armed with the knowledge of that computer’s reputation across multiple websites, enterprises can make better-informed real-time decisions about whether to interact with that particular device.

“Our customers have been asking for geolocation data to enhance their anti-fraud efforts, and our choice of Quova as a partner was based primarily on the quality of Quova’s people and its reputation in the industry,” said Jon Karl, iovation’s co-founder and VP of Business Development. “We got Quova recommendations from peers and partners within the industry, our own customer base and even competitors with whom we maintain friendly dialogue. All who were familiar with the geolocation industry told us in the clearest terms possible that Quova was the partner we wanted to work with.”

“iovation’s device reputation is a powerful new authentication model that elimininates the anonymity of Internet transactions by profiling the device instead of the user, and Quova’s IP intelligence is a perfect fit for that model,” said Gary Jackson, COO of Quova. “We’re delighted to be partnered with iovation in their mission to develop a single source for visibility into what otherwise would be anonymous online transactions. We expect this partnership to grow and deepen as we push this initative forward.”
