Ann Taylor appoints new chief information officer

New CIO Michael Kingston is a veteran of luxury brands, with previous positions at Coach and LVMH. He will oversee strategy for and delivery of all information systems and solutions.

Ann Taylor Stores Corp. has named Michael Kingston, a veteran luxury brands information systems specialist, as its new chief information officer.

Kingston joins Ann Taylor from Coach Inc., where he had been vice president of applications and led the company’s information initiatives in supply chain and client management. Prior to joining Coach, he was with LVMH Moet Hennessey Louis Vuitton, where he served as vice president and chief information officer, shared services; and international director of information services.

At AnnTaylor, No. 150 in Internet Retailer’s Top 500 Guide to Retail Web Sites, he will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and tactical delivery of all information technology systems and solutions to support the company’s business operations. He will report directly to executive vice president Tony Romano, the company’s chief supply chain officer.
