Double-digit increase in visits at 7 of the top 10 apparel and beauty sites

Visits to seven of the top 10 apparel and beauty sites increased by double digits in April, led by VictoriasSecret.com, where visits rose 56% to 3.9 million from 2.5 million, according to Nielsen/NetRatings.

Chadwick’s had the second largest gain, with visits increasing 49% to 2.12 million from 1.42 million; followed by LLBean.com, up 47% to 2.38 million from 1.62 million; Zappos.com, up 38% to 2.9 million from 2.1 million; Avon, up 33% to 3.2 million from 2.4 million; eBay Health and Beauty, up 27% to 4.2 million from 3.3 million; The Gap, up 22% to 2.2 million from 1.8 million; eBay Clothing, Shoes and Accessories, up 8% to 9.4 million from 8.7 million; eBay Jewelry and Watches, up 8% to 4.79 million from 4.44 million; and Old Navy, up 4% to 2.5 million from 2.4 million.

EBay Clothing, Shoes and Accessories recorded the most traffic, followed by eBay Jewelry and Watches, eBay Health and Beauty, VictoriasSecret.com, Avon, Zappos.com, Old Navy, LLBean.com, The Gap and Chadwick’s.

In the top 10 apparel and beauty sites ranked by time per visit, Mary Kay led with 51 minutes, 35 seconds; Avon, 39 minutes, 56 seconds; Lands End, 19 minutes, 32 seconds; Blair.com, 18 minutes, 53 seconds; Chadwick’s, 18 minutes, 29 seconds; eBay Clothing, Shoes and Accessories, 17 minutes, 16 seconds; JCrew.com, 15 minutes, 38 seconds; Zappos.com, 15 minutes, 21 seconds; Roamans, 15 minutes, 7 seconds; and VictoriasSecret.com, 14 minutes, 32 seconds.

Also in April, the home and garden segment had the most online ad impressions in the consumer goods industry, according to Nielsen’s AdRelevance report. The leading segments in the report and their number of impressions (in millions) are:
