ValueVision Media Inc., which owns and operates TV and web retailer ShopNBC, increased e-commerce sales 15.2% while total sales grew 10.7% in 2005.

For 2005, ValueVision, No. 57 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites, recorded web sales of $146 million compared with $126.7 million in 2004. At the same time, total sales for 2005 hit $680 million, up from $614.8 million in 2004. “The company expects to see continued growth in its Internet business and believes its e-commerce business both complements the base television home shopping business and provides an additional growth vehicle,” ValueVision says in its recently filed 10K report.

ValueVision, which penetrates about 60 million U.S. households with cable TV, sells primarily to women between the ages of 35 and 55 with annual household income of approximately $50,000 to $75,000, the company says. Overall the web represented 21% of total sales in each of the last two years.
