New Module Makes Shipping Four Times More Efficient for On-Line Merchants

ORLANDO, FL – April 10, 2006 – OrderMotion, the award winning provider of web-based order- and fulfillment-management systems for multi-channel retailers, today announced an automated shipping module that is four times more efficient than the current process of preparing a package for a courier. The announcement was made at the National Conference on Operations & Fulfillment.

AgileExpress, developed in partnership with Agile-Network, is fully integrated with OrderMotion’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) order management service, giving direct marketers and on-line merchants as well as their customers, real-time shipping information.

Eliminating the need for manual uploading and downloading of data, the solution allows on-line merchants and direct marketers to send packages via all national providers including USPS, FedEx, DHL and others, with a single scan of a wand.

NEEPS Inc., which operates 13 on-line retail pet supply companies and has been using the module since the beginning of this year, found that using AgileExpress dropped the average time to handle packages from 47 seconds per package to 10 seconds per package. At industry averages for salary and benefits for shipping personnel, this drops the staffing costs of shipping from 28 cents per package to 6 cents, a savings of nearly 80%.

“The seamless integration between OrderMotion and AgileExpress is the key,” said Scott Sanfilippo, President of NEEPS. “No more uploading files, downloading files and creating shipping reports. All we need do is put the box on the scale, scan the packing slip and the software takes care of the rest – producing labels, communicating with the carrier and updating the customer information.”

Until OrderMotion’s AgileExpress module became available, smaller merchants relied on the proprietary software from each carrier requiring file uploads and downloads to update customer history, preventing the process from being in real-time, or a full-featured hardware and software system, typically costing upwards of $20,000. The OrderMotion module starts at $75 per month.

“Not only does the AgileExpress module deliver dramatic efficiencies and savings to the shipping process, the customer service benefits are tremendous,” said Donny Askin, CEO of OrderMotion. “There is a direct connection between customer satisfaction and the ability to obtain real-time customer information. OrderMotion delivers ‘big company capability’ to the SMB market space allowing smaller merchants to make better, more informed decisions while customers can check their order status.”

“We are thrilled to offer our capabilities with OrderMotion’s burgeoning SaaS model. Emerging merchants can now subscribe to the logistics processing efficiencies that our larger, traditional clients have been enjoying for years.” added George Barsi, Agile-Network Executive Practice Partner. “AgileExpress combined with OrderMotion’s on-demand platform now provides the merchant total visibility and control over the customer fulfillment process with the added value of carrier compliant logistics management and cost controls.”

The AgileExpress module is available now as part of OrderMotion’s on-demand, order- and fulfillment-management system.
