SAN FRANCISCO (April 4, 2006) – Leading digital and direct marketing agency Carat Fusion today announced that Scott Sorokin has been named as president of the agency, effective April 3, 2006. Sorokin will oversee the agency’s strategic direction as the leading member of its executive team.
Sorokin, age 45, is an experienced marketing executive with a proven track record of strategic leadership, with more than 20 years of multidisciplinary background in direct and integrated marketing.
Most recently, Sorokin was the global account lead at MRM Worldwide overseeing the agency’s relationship with Intel Corporation. He was responsible for digital marketing and driving the integration of global marketing programs.
Prior to MRM Worldwide, Sorokin served as the managing director of Modem Media/Digitas West, responsible for the merger of Digitas and Modem’s offices in San Francisco. Sorokin was also the co-founder and managing director of Grey Interactive Worldwide, one of the first interactive agencies in the world. He was responsible for providing leadership and development for Grey business units developing interactive media, as well as integrated marketing strategies and creative development for clients.
Before the advent of the digital marketplace, Sorokin distinguished himself as an executive creative director in both television and print advertising, creating numerous advertising and marketing solutions for a wide range of clients, such as Coca-Cola, Braun, Prudential, Gillette, Hasbro and IBM. He has received numerous industry awards including One Show, Clio, Art Director’s Club, Communications Arts and Mobius.
