Infinity Resources Inc. has expanded its DeepDiscountDVD brand into the Canadian e-commerce market with the launch of its new web site, DeepDiscountDVD.ca. The company sees the Canadian market as growing but underserved.
DeepDiscountDVD.com launched in February 2001, and heavily promotes its lowest total price guarantee. Parent Infinity Resources also operates DVDPlanet.com, No. 382 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites.
Initial marketing efforts for the Canadian site include targeting online shopping and price comparison sites as well as e-mail campaigns and radio promotions in Canada’s major markets. The new site offers approximately 40,000 DVDs that ship from a Canada-based distribution center. Customer service support is handled at Infinity’s headquarters in Itasca, IL.
