Celebrating 10 years online, Golfballs.com expands staff and facilities

Celebrating its 10th anniversary in business, Golfballs.com is expanding its staff and facilities to cover a retail store and a growing business in personalized products, CEO Tom Cox says.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary in business, Golfballs.com is expanding its staff and facilities to cover a retail store and a growing business in personalized products, CEO Tom Cox says.

With total sales on a pace to hit $7.5 million this year, up from about $6 million in 2005, Golfballs.com has expanded its facilities in Lafayette, LA, by about 33% to 20,000 square feet, to include a full-line retail store and additional employees in production and a sales staff focusing on personalized products for corporate customers, Cox says. “We’ve made the transition from being just a web site taking orders to also working as a proactive sales organization,” he says. “Customized products are growing as a percentage of our business.”

Golfballs.com, No. 375 in the Internet Retailer Top 400 Guide to Retail Web Sites, now employs a total of 30 people, up from 23 last year, Cox says.
