Ezic`s versatile Direct Mode interface is designed for merchants who desire complete control over their transaction processing. Direct Mode is an easy to use network API which can be accessed using all major programming languages to execute payment transactions for electronic commerce, subscription and recurring billing, call centers, and card-present retail environments. Transaction data is sent to Ezic`s system over an SSL encrypted connection from the payment application software used by the merchant. This gives the merchant the ability to completely customize and integrate real-time payment processing into their own applications, whether developed in-house or purchased from a third party software vendor.

Other features available through Direct Mode 3.1 include merchant initiated settlements, ultra fast batch uploads with parallel processing for high volume merchants, CISP compliant affiliate cross sales, and repeat billing with card number virtualization which enables merchants to bill customers in the future without becoming subject to costly Visa requirements for cardholder data retention.
The affiliate interface released with Direct Mode 3.1 allows merchants to access their transaction and membership data in a machine parsable format through an easy-to-use network API. This data can be used for statistical monitoring or in conjunction with third party affiliate management software.
