ShopLocal names a new director of marketing services

ShopLocal, provider of Internet advertising for local stores, has named Marion Black-Ruffin as director of marketing services. Black-Ruffin is former director of product marketing at online travel company Orbitz.

ShopLocal LLC, a provider of Internet advertising for local stores, has named Marion Black-Ruffin as director of marketing services. Black-Ruffin is former director of product marketing at online travel company Orbitz as well as director of e-mail direct marketing strategy at United Airlines.

"Marion is a seasoned veteran with integrated marketing strategies that have resulted in increased consumer satisfaction," said Dave Hamel chief marketing officer. "Her knowledge and proven track record will be a true resource for ShopLocal."

Black-Ruffin will lead Chicago-based ShopLocal`s marketing outreach efforts and will be involved in product development.

"I am very excited to join ShopLocal, which I think is one of the most impressive and pioneering multi-channel companies in the online shopping space," she said Black-Ruffin. Black- Ruffin has also held positions at MyPoints.com, Frankel, FCB Impact, and NEC Home Electronics.
